Halloween night, my girlfriend Geneva and I went down to Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta to photograph a show for a local musician, Shawn Pasley with Nobody’s Darlings. It was also Shawn’s birthday, so he definitely wanted pictures. This made my 4th night out taking pictures in a row, but it being Halloween gave Geneva and me an excuse to dress up again. It’s both of our favorite holiday! Many of the guests were also dressed up, so that was pretty awesome. Being a Sunday night, meant it wasn’t too packed, but definitely enough to mingle and have a good time.

While there, we also got to see EGSINGS! We’d thoroughly enjoyed Emma’s set out on the patio at Good ol’ Days Bar and Grill this past summer, so that was definitely a pleasant surprise. The thing that sticks out most to me outside of course of her music, is that I’ve met both her mom and dad at the last two shows I’ve seen her perform. I think that’s great to be so involved.

We also got to see Greg Cary and the Feel, which put on a really good show. They had this one slow dance song in particular that I enjoyed above the rest. Solid band, cool guys, would recommend.

Nobody’s Darling, third to play, is a local band with a few familiar faces. Shawn, I met as a sound guy at Good ol Days, and Max Fischer, the bassist went to the same High School as me and he and his bro are the faces I remember when I think Ponce De Leon Music. I’ve seen them play a few times in the past. Definitely worth coming out to see. Kind of a Smashing Pumpkins meets Billy Talent and Thursday. A good mix of poppy alt-rock original music. Be sure to check out their original music, which you can find here. http://www.nobodysdarlingsband.com/epk I’m vibin’ on “Over Macho Grande.”

Finally we heard from Manorism. The two front guys both dressed as different versions of the Joker which was pretty freakin’ cool. They did a few Halloween covers. One being I Put a Spell on You and got some bodies moving. Then they came in with a curve ball with a Long Neck Ice Cold Beer cover which I definitely did not hate. They have a great stage presence about them, and put on a proper headlining act.
