Mad Dog Transmissions

Mad Dog Transmissions builds and rebuilds performance GM automatic transmissions in Alpharetta, and has since 1986. Most of their customers are building hot rods and high-horsepower cars and trucks, and need a transmission that will hold the extra power. Builds run from the classic 700R4 to GM’s modern 8- and 10-speed automatics, with custom builds up to 1,500 horsepower. Every unit is torn down to the bare case, has its known factory weak points corrected, and is dyno-tested before it leaves the shop. They also handle diagnostics, repair and torque converter service for local drivers in Alpharetta, Cumming and north Atlanta, and ship nationwide. Every transmission and converter carries a 1-year unlimited-mile warranty.
