Dr. Doug Lightstone is a devoted chiropractor and family man who commits his life to serving his family, friends, and community. He has always lived a very active life. However, in 2006, Dr. Lightstone endured a paralyzing injury which led him to several doctors. It was a chiropractor, though, who helped him recover. Dr. Lightstone earned his doctorate from Life University and became a member of the Better Health by Design team here in Cumming-Forsyth, GA. In the last 7 years, he has completed nearly one thousand hours of continuing education of the highest advanced training in: • corrective chiropractic and spinal rehabilitation; • whiplash and traumatic brain injury; • disc problems and injuries; • and spinal deformities including scoliosis and others. In addition to his practice, Dr. Lightstone founded and runs the research Institute for Spinal Health and Performance. He and his team research the spine and its connection to disease and dysfunction. His work is published in various high-quality, peer-reviewed research journals and he collaborates on projects with prestigious institutions around the country such as Colorado University-Boulder and Emory University. Dr. Lightstone is dedicated to helping his patients reach optimal health and performance. He enjoys playing competitive rugby, rock climbing, and hiking. Along with his amazing wife, Kate, their sons, Alex and Jeremy, and their family dogs, Dr. Lightstone enjoys spending time outdoors by hiking and going to parks, fairs, and festivals. They look forward to many years of health, family, and fun in Cumming-Forsyth, GA.
